You are more than a set of symptoms. Your thoughts, experiences, body, routines, relationships and environment all form part of the picture.

My work is built around a simple idea: Meaningful change begins with understanding the person you are.

That is why I offer two distinct ways of working. Psychotherapy creates space to explore emotional and psychological difficulties. Ayurveda looks more broadly at the rhythms of everyday life, including nourishment, digestion, sleep, energy and routine.

Psychotherapy

CBT & EMDR

A space to process, understand and find meaningful ways to move forward.

Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as third wave integrative practices, I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space to explore what you are experiencing and support you to create meaningful change.

  • Anxiety and excessive worry
  • Stress and overwhelm
  • Low mood and low self-esteem
  • Trauma, PTSD and difficult life experiences
  • Perinatal mental health
  • Life transitions

Ayurvedic Wellbeing

A personalised approach to greater balance.

Ayurveda can sound unfamiliar at first. In practice, it often begins with simple observations about how you eat, sleep, digest, move, recover and respond to the world around you.

Ayurveda looks at the individual as a whole. Together, we can explore the patterns in your everyday life and develop practical recommendations that can support your wellbeing in the following areas:

  • Food and nutrition
  • Digestion and appetite
  • Sleep and energy
  • Stress and emotional wellbeing
  • Daily routines, movement and rest

Meet Sophie

Hi, I’m Sophie

I’m a psychotherapist and Ayurvedic wellbeing practitioner with a particular interest in the relationship between emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.

My psychotherapy background taught me the importance of understanding how our experiences shape us. For more than ten years, I have worked therapeutically with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, low mood, perinatal mental health difficulties and challenging periods in their lives.

My study of Ayurveda widened that lens further, looking beyond the mind and toward the relationship between emotional wellbeing, nourishment, sleep, digestion, energy and the rhythms of everyday life.

While psychotherapy and Ayurveda are distinct approaches, the philosophy behind my work is the same: there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing.
